Présentation
How to overcome multi-drug resistant bacteria?
That is one of my main research topics. Since my PhD at the Pasteur Institute, I have been working on identifying how our immune system recognise bacteria and searching for new ways to improve our antimicrobial response against those pathogens. With the rise of multi-drug resistant bacteria, this question has become of paramount importance.
A few points about me:
• Immunology expert with more 15+ years of experience in inflammation and infection research, in particular on the interactions between innate immune cells (macrophages), lung immunity and bacterial pathogens.
• Skills: In vivo infection model, animal/human ethics, host-pathogen interaction, cell culture, in vitro infection, small molecules, microscopy, flow cytometry, transfection, RT-PCR, ELISA, Western ...
• Leadership: I’m an confident speaker, I have proven my abilities to supervise students and staff and can lead different projects simultaneously
• Independent thinking: I obtained several competitive grants and published 35+ publications (incl. Nature, Science, Nature Comm, PNAS USA)
• Team player: I have set-up multi-disciplinary approaches and have experience working in microbiology and drug discovery
• Fluent in English and French, Good knowledge of German and Spanish
