======================
I work on the study of non-equilibrium plasmas under the effect of magnetic fields. My research focuses along two main axes. On the fundamental side, I develop transport models for partially-ionized plasmas based on moment closure hierarchies, also called multi-fluid models. In addition, I work on the development of numerical methods for the plasma fluid equations coupled to Maxwell's equations. This includes novel asymptotic-preserving and well-balanced schemes that are particularly relevant in order to solve the plasma dynamics in an efficient and accurate manner. On the applied side, I work on the simulation of different magnetized phenomena in partially-ionized plasmas, from plasma instabilities in magnetohydrodynamics and anomalous transport to low-pressure plasma discharges for electric propulsion applications.
