Daniel Bamberger

After studying at Philipps University in Marburg, Germany, I have left academia. I have been working as an independent researcher. I have written about topics involving history, and am a published author. I have also worked as a genealogist. I have studied mathematics, but I have not published in that field. I am an amateur astronomer, and a co-founder of the Northolt Branch Observatories. Operating from west London in the UK, we have been observing Near Earth asteroids since 2015, and we are among the most active asteroid observers in Europe. (Statistics: https://mpec.jostjahn.de/Z80-stat.html) Together with David Rankin of the Catalina Sky Survey I have developed the NEOTK tool, which is used to identify and link asteroid observations in the Minor Planet Center's isolated tracklets file (report of latest results: https://minorplanetcenter.net/media/documentation/linking/id_report_2022.txt) The asteroid 128345 Danielbamberger has been named after me.
