Henrique de Pina Almeida Prado holds a Master's degree in Classics from the Graduate Program in Classics at the University of São Paulo. In 2019, he served as a scholarship monitor for the course "Introduction to Latin" in the Language and Literature program at FFLCH-USP. Between 2019 and 2020, with a USP scholarship for undergraduate research, he completed the translation from Ancient Greek to Portuguese of the work Praktikos by Evagrius Ponticus. He graduated with a Bachelor's degree in Language and Literature - Portuguese and Ancient Greek in 2021, also obtaining a Teaching License in Language and Literature - Portuguese and Ancient Greek in the same year. Between 2021 and 2023, with a CAPES scholarship, he developed a research and translation project on the Praktikos and the Gnostikos by Evagrius Ponticus, in which he enhanced and expanded the work carried out during his undergraduate research. In this Master's thesis work, he developed studies on literary genre, hermeneutics, late ancient historiography, asceticism, and ancient medicine. Currently, he is a doctoral student in the Graduate Program in Classics at the University of São Paulo. His current research project consists of an annotated translation and studies of the Scholia in Proverbia by Evagrius Ponticus. He has interests in the study of ascetic, medical, and philosophical literatures of Late Antiquity, as well as in the literary genres and rhetorical resources through which these literatures are manifested.
