Présentation
My current research is at the intersection of integrative neuroscience and its application in clinical and sports context. I am particularly interested in how the central nervous system combines different sensory inputs (such as visual, proprioceptive, and vestibular) to control our movements.
Using both a theoretical approach (statistical models of optimal multisensory integration) and an experimental approach (virtual reality), I study the functioning of the brain:
* In the clinical context with stroke patients with sensory deficits;
* In the sports context, specifically in freediving, when athletes are immersed in water and thus exposed to a different sensory environment.
Prior to this work, I also investigated postural alterations in patients who underwent total hip replacement surgery (using posturographic and electromyographic analysis).
* Dans le contexte pathologique, suite à un accident vasculaire cérébral (AVC) pour des patients présentant des déficits sensoriels ;
* Dans le contexte sportif, en apnée, lorsque les athlètes sont en immersion dans l’eau et ainsi plongés dans un environnement sensoriel différent.
