- 1993-1994: Speaker in primary school and middle school on the thematic of “Water on Earth” and “Atmospheric pollution and wastes”.
- 1989-1992: PhD student (Supervisor: Pr. Block) at Laboratoire Santé Environnement ‐ Faculty of Pharmacy, Nancy.
**Pedagogic activities**
- Teaching at EPHE-PSL and Lorraine University with ~ 200 h/year in environmental microbiology, biofilms formation mechanisms, antimicrobial actions and anti-biofilm strategies, one health concepts.
- Teaching-related responsabilities: responsible of the orientation "Environmental and sanitary microbiology" of the *Microbiology* master (Univ. Lorraine), responsible of 3 UEs at the EPHE and University masters, participation in 5 others UEs.
- Pedagogic supervisions of 30 EPHE students.
**Research activities**
- Thematics:
- Behavior of microorganisms (bacteria / amoeba / virus) within biofilms and water when exposed to stress.
- Antibiofilm effects on bacteria and within biofilms (biocides, treatment process, hydrodynamic shear stress,
electromagnetism, ultrasounds…)
- Dynamic of biofilm formation and mechanisms governing the adhesion of microorganisms on surfaces.
- Research-related activities:
- Direction and co-direction of 4 post-docs, 8 PhD theses and 35 Masters
- Supervisor of 30 master's students.
- Supervision of 9 EPHE students preparing the Diplome SVT (continuing education in 2-6 years).
- Member of the LCPME lb-council (2008-present)
- Expert at the French Agency for Food, Environmental and Occupational Health & Safety in different
Committees (Water and Biological Agent, Legionella, Re-use of treated wastewater).
- Reviewer for Water Research, International Journal of Food Microbiology, Journal of Applied Microbiology,
Environmental Science & Technology, Plos One, STOTEN, Biofouling, J. Applied Microbiol..
