Présentation
Dr. Marija Jankovic is an Professor at Ecole Centrale Paris (ECP), now CentraleSupélec. The research focus of Dr Jankovic is on supporting early design stages, in particular in *System Architecture design* integrating innovation and uncertainty management. The aim is to support design team and their decision making process in the systematic exploration of the design space as well as supporting decision making with regard to uncertainties inherent to early design. The approaches developed are in line with *Complexity science* and relational theory of complexity management, underlining relationships and exploring design synthesis methods with regard to large number of parameters and system performance indicators. Dr. Jankovic is interested in the decision making in design, DSM (Design Structure Matrix) and other relational modeling and simulation of complexity, System Architecture design, Uncertainty modeling and management, Design Synthesis.
In majority of cases, the research projects are done in collaboration with industry or government; and with direct implementation and verification of research results. Dr. Jankovic collaborates with some of the major French and international companies: Snecma, Thales, EADS, PSA Peugeot Citroen, Schlumberger, etc.
She is Director for Master Studies in Engineering Design and Management (Ingénierie de la Conception, Master Recherche Univérsité Paris Saclay en Ingénierie des Systèmes Complexes). Dr. Jankovic’s teaching is focused on Engineering Design, Complex Engineered Systems, System Architecture Design and Research methods and protocols. She is also one of the coordinators of the Research and Innovation group at INCOSE French Chapter (Association Française de l’Ingenierie Système).
