Présentation
![](http://vincent.herbreteau.pagesperso-orange.fr/Bandeau_HAL.png)
Vincent Herbreteau is a Health Geographer at the [French National Research institute for Sustainable Development](https://www.ird.fr "IRD")[ (IRD)](https://www.ird.fr "IRD") in the [UMR 228 ESPACE-DEV](http://www.espace-dev.fr "UMR 228 ESPACE-DEV") Research Unit. He conducts research on the climatic, environmental and social factors that drive the spatiotemporal dynamics of diseases in order to model them and improve their surveillance. He also develops the use of data from Earth-observation satellites to build environmental monitoring systems that can help health managers to detect early signals and understand health risks.
