Presentation

I am currently a postdoctoral researcher at the Institute of Information Science at Academia Sinica in Taiwan. My current research themes are at the intersection of knowledge graphs and large language models. Specifically, I'm working on improving temporal awareness in large language models, and on their interaction with temporal knowledge bases to improve factuality and knowledge edition.

I obtained my PhD at the Laboratoire Informatique d'Avignon under the supervision of Vincent Labatut and Richard Dufour. My PhD is about character networks extraction in literary texts, and how character networks can effectively serve as representation for such texts. Extracting character networks includes a number of natural language processing subtasks I'm interested in: named entity recognition, coreference resolution, alias resolution, quote detection, speaker attribution... This research led to the creation of the Python library Renard, a toolkit to automatically extract character networks.

Previous Industry Experience

  • 2020-2021, Prokov Editions, Nancy. Artificial Intelligence R&D Engineer: I worked one year at Prokov Editions, which develops softwares for general practitioners. During this year, I developed and integrated various AI features aimed at making the main software of the company (Medistory 4) easier to use.
  • 2018, Idemia, Cergy. Cloud Microservices Architect Intern: I was an intern during 6 months at Idemia, where I prototyped a cloud portage of their MorphoKit biometrics library.

Softwares

  • Renard: Renard (Relationships Extraction from NARrative Documents) is a modular Python library to extract static and dynamic character networks, made as part of my PhD. All of Renard's models are also available on Huggingface.
  • Tibert: A simple to use coreference resolution library, created to support Renard.
  • blink: A Python library to work with RPLidar A2M8.
  • ... and a lot of other stuff! See my Github and my Gitlab.
