Doctor/Research Supervisor in material physico-chemistry - Head of the IRSN Research Laboratory on Transfers and Interactions in Underground Environment


Après une formation universitaire de 5 ans dans le domaine de la géologie//biologie (écologie/éthologie), des interactions eau/roche/sol et des transferts en milieu poreux, j'ai réalisé un doctorat dans le domaine des interactions géochimiques entre les matériaux naturels (roche argileuse) et les matériaux cimentaires. J'ai poursuivi ce thème de recherche pendant 7 années (encadrement de 9 thèses) en pilotant les actions de recherche de l'IRSN en appuis à son expertise de sûreté du stockage de déchets radioactifs.
Depuis 2017, j'ai pris la responsabilité du laboratoire LETIS pour coordonner l'ensemble des activités de recherche (géomécanique/géologie/corrosion/géochimie/physique/mécanique des matériaux) sur le stockage géologique des déchets radioactifs. Ce laboratoire est composé de 8 chercheurs permanents et d'un nombre équivalent de doctorants/post doc et stagiaires. Il exploite également le laboratoire souterrain de Tournemire dans l'Aveyron, dont j'ai la responsabilité HSE et la charge de la coordination des activités.
En parallèle de cette activité, j'ai en 2018 passé mon habilitation à diriger des thèses pour devenir directeur de thèse au sein de l'IRSN. Depuis 2021 je coordonne également le projet européen MAGIC (EURAD joint programing) après l'avoir initié, portant sur le vieillissement chemo mécanique des matériaux cimentaires dans un stockage géologique profond.
