His most recent publications deal with national identity, the Sikh diaspora, and migration. He is currently on sabbatical leave from Sciences Po Toulouse (where he teaches British Civilisation Studies), until September 2024 to undertake research in the city of Pau (at the University of Pau and the Pays de l’Adour) related to the presence of English-speakers there, using lifestyle migration, and oral history methodology.
