Mon activité scientifique porte un intérêt particulier à l’évolution des processus immunitaires, et la compréhension de la réponse immunitaire innée et sa régulation chez les invertébrés dans le modèle: mollusque *Biomphalaria glabrata* et son trématode parasite *Schistosoma mansoni*. Dans ce modèle, j’étudie les mécanismes qui déterminent le polymorphisme de compatibilité, la spécificité et la régulation de la réponse immunitaire innée. Je mène également des approches sur les mécanismes moléculaires de la réponse immunitaire mémoire ou priming chez *B.glabrata*. J’ai développé récemment des collaborations où cette question sera abordée dans le priming immunitaire antiviral chez le mollusque *Crassostrea gigas* et dans le priming immunitaire trans-générationnel (PITG) chez le coléoptère *Tenebrio molitor*. Pour réponde à ces questions, différentes approches moléculaires comparatives ont été développées aux niveaux : génomique (DNAseq), transcriptomique (RNASeq, QRT-PCR) et protéique (enrichissement, 2D-DIGE, interactome). As a comparative immunologist with interests in the evolution of immunity, my work focus on gaining a deeper understanding of invertebrate innate immune systems and their modulation. I work mainly on one model: the snail *Biomphalaria glabrata* and its trematode parasite *Schistosoma mansoni*, in which I investigate the mechanisms that determine the compatibility polymorphism, the specificity, and regulation of innate immune response. Finally I investigate also the molecular mechanisms of immune priming or innate immune memory in *B. glabrata*snails. Through collaborations this last question will be also applied to viral immune priming for the mollusk *Crassostrea gigas* and to trans-generational immune priming” (TGIP) for the arthropod *Tenebrio molitor.* To solve our objectives (i) different comparative molecular approaches were developed at genomic level (NGS DNA sequencing), transcriptomic level (RNASeq, Q-RT-PCR) and proteomic level (protein enrichment, 2D-gel, 2D-DIGE, interactome) and (ii) functional approaches were conducted (recombinant proteins, RNA-interference, in-vitro culture).
