Cedric Adjih in a research scientist in Inria, Saclay, France - in the TRiBE Team.
He received his doctoral degree in 2001 from the University of Versailles (France). He graduated from the ECP in 1994.
His research interests have focused on all aspects of wireless multi-hop networks (ad-hoc networks, mesh networks, sensor networks): performance evaluation, conception, implementation, and experimentation, with a specific focus on multi-hop routing, and also additional aspects such as quality of service, auto-configuration, security, multicast, broadcast, resilience….
More recently, he has focused on Internet of Things (IoT), and modern methods and architectures of communications, such as network coding, and information centric networking (mostly applied to IoT), and on 5G-and-beyond communication.
He is one of the co-authors of the OLSR protocol (for ad-hoc networks), of the protocol DRAGONCAST (for network coding) and a contributor to the OPERA/OCARI protocol stack (for wireless sensor networks).
Cedric Adjih is/has been involved in several projects, including: CEFIPRA (D2D 5G+, on D2D and access, 2014-2017), H2020 AGILE (2016-2019), H2020 ARMOUR, Equipex-FIT (2011-2019), GETRF (2011-2014, innovative protocols to improve multi-hop military networks, including ad-hoc and wireless sensor networks), FUISmartMesh (2009-2013, a System@tic project that designed and demonstrated a smart sensor system based on mesh networking to prevent intrusions), DIM ACRON and DIM SWAN (2010-2014, with focus on network coding at different levels: new network coding/decoding methods, on one side, and new vehicular network coding protocols on the other), ETARE (funded by European Defense Agency, on communications for military tactical networks).
For the Equipex FIT, he is co-managing the IoT-LAB site at Saclay: the site is a testbed for Internet of Things/Wireless Sensor Networks with 300+ nodes. Moreover, he is also active in standardization, in the Internet Research Task Force (IRTF) and Engineering Task Force (IETF).
