Présentation
Claire Omhovère enseigne les littératures des pays du Commonwealth à l’Université Paul Valéry Montpellier 3. Aujourd’hui présidente honoraire de la Société d’Étude des Pays du Commonwealth, elle a présidé la SEPC et dirigé la revue Commonwealth Essays & Studiesde 2011 à 2017. Sa recherche porte sur l’écriture paysagère dans les littératures des anciennes colonies de l’Empire britannique, notamment le Canada. Elle est l’auteur de Sensing Space: The Poetics of Geography in Contemporary English-Canadian Fiction(Peter Lang, 2007). Elle a coordonné plusieurs ouvrages collectifs dont le plus récent (L’Art du paysagechez Michel Houdiard, 2014) rassemble la traduction et la présentation critique d’une sélection d’essais sur les enjeux du paysage dans le monde anglophone.
