Présentation
After earning an Engineering degree in Automatic Control from the University of Annaba (Algeria, 1998), I pursued a Master's in Robotics at Sorbonne University (formerly UPMC), followed by a PhD in Robotics at the University of Évry Paris-Saclay (1999–2002). During my doctoral studies, I also completed a research mobility period at the French Atomic Energy Commission (CEA Saclay). I defended my Habilitation to Supervise Research (HDR) in 2010, focusing on mechatronic platform design for human-centered motion rendering applications. I am currently Full Professor at the University Évry Paris-Saclay, specializing in the modeling, estimation, and control of dynamic systems, with applications in robotics, driving simulation, and road safety for powered two-wheeler vehicles (PTW). I have led several national research projects (ANR VIGISIM, SIMACOM, VIROLO++, eMC2) and contributed to numerous international collaborations (MIT, UNAM, SMU, POLIMI, etc.). My research activities have resulted in over 100 publications, including 23 journal articles and several books and book chapters. I have supervised 14 PhD theses, with 3 ongoing, and multiple postdoctoral researchers and Master’s students. My work on dynamic simulators and PTW safety has been recognized internationally, including awards and expert consultations. Alongside research, I am deeply involved in academic responsibilities: I have managed Bachelor's and Master's programs, directed the Department of Electrical Engineering, and currently serve as Vice President for International Relations, Innovation, and Strategic Partnerships at the University of Évry Paris-Saclay.
