Présentation
!!!Job offer!!! PhD position (36 months) on my ERC grant 'LaDy' to study how we process language in the dyad using interactive language paradigms and EEG hyper-scanning. More info and application link here (important correction: application deadline is 11/07 and not 11/06): https://emploi.cnrs.fr/Offres/Doctorant/UMR7309-STELHU-010/Default.aspx?lang=EN
Laureate ERC Consolidator Grant 2024 - Project LaDy ('Language in the Dyad)
Short CV Kristof Strijkers: Born on the 15th of March 1983 in Rumst (Antwerp - Belgium). I earned my MA in psychology (Theoretical and Experimental Psychology) at the University of Ghent (Belgium) in 2006. Afterwards, I moved to Barcelona (Spain) where I received another MA in Cognitive Neurosciences and Language in 2007 at the Universitat de Barcelona (UB; Spain). In 2007 I started my PhD ("The Electrophysiology of Language Production: Lexical Access in Picture Naming") at the University of Barcelona and I received my PhD title in Cognitive Neuroscience and Language in February 2012. After my PhD I became a Marie Curie post-doctoral fellow of the Centre National de la Recherche Scientifique (CNRS) at the Laboratoire de Psychology Cognitive (LPC) in France, where I explored the role of intention and goal-directed behavior in language processing with neurophysiological techniques such as ERPs and MEG. Since 2014 I am a full-time CNRS researcher at the Laboratoire Parole et Langage (LPL) in Aix-en-Provence. In my research I attempt to bridge traditional linguistics and psycho-linguistics with neuroscience. My main topics of research: 1) The cognitive and neural bases of linguistic interaction and conversation; 2) The spatio-temporal dynamics of language production and comprehension; 3) The role of attention and prediction in language processing.
