Docteur en archéologie, je me suis attaché au cours de mes premiers travaux à l'étude des amphores dites "tardo-puniques", des productions inspirées de la tradition punique mais qui sont apparues après la conquête romaine, dans la région du détroit de Gibraltar (Cercle du Détroit).
