Présentation

Rim Slama Salmi is currently an Associate Professor at ENTPE (École Nationale des Travaux Publics de l’État) in Lyon, France. She is a member of the LICIT-ECO7 research team, a joint research unit between ENTPE and Université Gustave Eiffel (UGE). Her research focuses broadly on intelligent transportation systems, time series analysis, artificial intelligence, and computer vision.

Previously, she worked as a an Associate Professor at CESI LINEACT in Lyon, and earned valuable professional experience as a researcher within an R&D team at Artec Group in Luxembourg, focusing on 3D data analysis and pattern recognition. She also served as an Assistant Professor at Henallux Engineering School in Belgium. Rim earned her PhD in Computer Science from the University of Lille (France) in 2014. She also holds an MSc and an Engineering degree in Computer Science.

Throughout her academic and industrial experiences, she developed strong expertise in computer vision and computer science, working on diverse types of data (2D/3D images, time series, videos, etc.) and addressing problems across multiple domains, including healthcare, industrial automation, security and mobility. These multidisciplinary collaborations have strengthened her ability to adapt AI and pattern recognition techniques to real-world challenges.
