Presentation
* Samia Bouchafa received a Ph.D. degree in 1998 in electrical and computer engineering from the University Paris VI (now Sorbonne University) and the French Research Institute in Transportation (IFSTTAR, then now University Gustave Eiffel). In 1999, she was an assistant professor at University Paris XI (Institute of Fundamental Electronics), then an associate professor in 2011. Since 2012, she has had a full professor position at Université d’Evry Paris-Saclay. Since 2021, she is a distinguished professor in computer vision for robotics.
* From 2015 to 2023, she has been coordinating the second year of a Master's in Electrical Engineering, specializing in “Automatic mobile systems” at the University of Paris-Saclay.
* From 2019 to 2023, she was the head of the IBISC laboratory.
* Since 2021, she is the deputy director in charge of the doctorate within the graduate school of engineering and systems sciences at Paris-Saclay University.
* Since, 2023, she is the dean of the faculty of sciences and technology at Université d’Evry Paris-Saclay.
* Her research deals with computer vision, visual perception, multimodal vision for autonomous systems, motion analysis, stereovision, visual odometry, and localization.
