Présentation
Sandrine Bernardini is an Associated Professor at Aix-Marseille University (France). She received her engineering degree in materials and microelectronics from INSA-Lyon in 2001 and her Ph.D. from Provence University, Marseille, in 2004. From 2005 to 2007, she worked as an Associate Researcher at the University of Manchester, UK, focusing on high-k dielectric structural and electrical characterizations. In 2008, she joined the MicroSensor Group at the Institute of Materials Microelectronic Nanosciences of Provence (IM2NP) at Aix-Marseille University. Her current research interests include nanomaterials and their sensing properties for environmental flexible sensor applications with focus on gas sensors, ultrasonic spray techniques and air quality monitoring. She is a member of scientific committees for international conferences and serves as the Women in Engineering representative of the IEEE Instrumentation & Measurements French Chapter. Dr. Bernardini has authored more than 50 publications and international conference papers, covering topics as ZnO nanoparticles, flexible gas sensors and innovative sensor fabrication technique. In September 2023, she obtained a one-year CNRS delegation to work on nanoporous materials at UMR7246 MADIREL-AMU. This research opportunity likely contributed to her expertise in developing innovative materials for sensor technologies.
