Présentation
Research Areas
My area of research concerns the analysis of the processes of urbanization and territorial development in the context of globalization, climate changes, and adaption in the post-soviet territories: South-Est Baltic, Siberia, The Arctic, and the Sub-Arctic regions, including the coastal zones. I am working also in Africa (Niger, Chad Lake...), before in India. Geographic Analysis is based on the development and implementation of Earth Observation remote sensing monitoring systems and geo-simulations: multispectral, hyperspectral imagery, artificial intelligence, massive data image processing, multi-temporal geographic knowledge systems, GIS. Geographic information science Urban geography, territorial development, and adaptation of the climate change and globalisation Geographic areas Scientific leadership Academic leadership Science diplomacy, and expertise University and research positions
