Presentation
**Research Areas**
My area of research concerns the analysis of the processes of urbanization and territorial development in the context of globalization, climate changes, and adaption in the post-soviet territories: South-Est Baltic, Siberia, The Arctic, and the Sub-Arctic regions, including the coastal zones. I am working also in Africa (Niger, Chad Lake...), before in India. Geographic Analysis is based on the development and implementation of Earth Observation remote sensing monitoring systems and geo-simulations: multispectral, hyperspectral imagery, artificial intelligence, massive data image processing, multi-temporal geographic knowledge systems, GIS.
**Geographic information science**
-Remote sensing, image processing, and image analysis
-GIS, spatial modelling, and geo-simulation
-Knowledge models, geographic ontologies, and artificial intelligence
**Urban geography, territorial development, and adaptation of the climate change and globalisation**
-Metropolisation
-Territorial development and adaption of climate change and globalization
-Environmental interactions
-Geopolitical issues
**Geographic areas**
-The Arctic and Circumpolar regions
