Thomas Vendryes
Présentation
My research focuses on the two-way relationships between institutions and agents’ behaviour and coordination, in the field of Development Economics. I am particularly interested in two thematics - land rights and internal migration - and several secondary themes (risk sharing, fractionalization, imitation/innovation, etc.). I often work on the Chinese case, but I am interested in other experiences as well. I studied Economics at Paris 1 University, Ecole Normale Supérieure (Paris) and Paris School of Economics, and Chinese Language and Culture at Paris 7 University. I did my PhD in Economics at EHESS, Paris School of Economics, with a two-year stay at the Beijing Normal University. I am now an Associate Professor at the Ecole Normale Supérieure Paris-Saclay, Department of Social Sciences.
