Beatrice Tomasi
Présentation
Beatrice Tomasi received her Ph.D. degree in Information Science and Technology from University of Padova (Italy) in 2012, focusing on underwater acoustic communications and sensor networks. After, she worked at the Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution as a postdoctoral Office of Naval Research fellow for 2 years. Then in 2014, she joined the Huawei Mathematical and Algorithmic Sciences Lab in France as a senior research engineer, working on communication protocols for 5G cellular networks. She was a senior scientist at the Norwegian Research Center (NORCE) from late 2018 until 2025. She joined the ISEN Yncrea Ouest engineering school in Brest, France as lecturer-researcher from 2020 to 2022. Since 2026, she is affiliated with the IMT Atlantique, Brest, France, where she continues her research on underwater wireless communications, and ocean observation technology and innovation.
