Présentation
Dana Di Pardo Léon-Henri is an Associate Professor (Maître de conférences) in Applied Linguistics and English for Specific Purposes (ESP) at the University of Marie and Louis Pasteur (Besançon, France) and a member of the ELLIADD research unit (UR 4661). She holds a PhD in Applied Linguistics from Paris-Sorbonne University (Paris IV), a CERTESL Certification for the University of Saskatcehwan, Canada, and a Bachelor of Arts (French and Italian) from Brock University, Ontario, Canada.
Her teaching and research focus on foreign language pedagogy, ESP, language acquisition, and assessment in higher education. She has extensive experience teaching English across a wide range of disciplines and academic levels, particularly in LANSAD contexts, where she designs pedagogical approaches adapted to learners with diverse linguistic and academic profiles. Her teaching practices emphasize reflective learning, inclusion, task-based pedagogy, and professional communication skills.
Her research explores the interface between personal writing and specialized discourse, with particular attention to learner journals, diaries, and reflective writing as hybrid genres. Drawing on genre theory and autobiographical studies, her work examines how such practices contribute to language learning, identity construction, and professional development. She also investigates technology-enhanced language learning, including the pedagogical uses of artificial intelligence, digital tools, and educational robotics, with a strong interest in their implications for inclusion and plurilingual education.
She has published peer-reviewed articles, book chapters, and edited volumes in the fields of applied linguistics, ESP, and language didactics, and regularly contributes to national and international conferences. Her research is characterized by a theoretical-applied articulation, combining empirical data from classroom contexts with broader didactic and epistemological reflections.
Through her academic, pedagogical, and editorial activities, she contributes to ongoing discussions on innovation, inclusion, and reflective practices in language education within contemporary higher-education contexts.
