Présentation
Filipi Miranda Soares holds a Ph.D. in Computer Engineering from the University of São Paulo, Brazil, and is currently pursuing a second Ph.D. diploma in Computer Science at the University of Twente, the Netherlands, as part of a double degree program. He is also a researcher at INRAE (French National Research Institute for Agriculture, Food and Environment) in Montpellier, working with the MISTEA research group. His work focuses on Semantic Web technologies, leveraging Python-based tools and generative AI to automate tasks in ontology engineering, including SPARQL query generation from natural language. Filipi has contributed to several international initiatives, such as Biodiversity Information Standards (TDWG) and the Cross-Domain Integration (CDI) Working Group of the DDI Alliance. He has been actively involved in the development of FAIR semantic artefacts, including the Agricultural Product Types Ontology (APTO), the Agriculture and Livestock Metadata Element Set (Almes Core), the Plant-Pollinator Interactions Vocabulary, and the DDI-CDI standard. He has experience applying the FAIR Data Principles and participated in the WorldFAIR project under the Agricultural Biodiversity Working Group. In addition to his technical expertise, Filipi has a background in UX and information architecture, integrating user-centered design approaches into system development and, more recently, in ontology design.
