Docteure en histoire de l’art (2022), Marta Battisti explore la culture visuelle chrétienne de la première modernité au prisme des sensibilités. Sa première monographie (Presses Universitaires de Rennes, à paraître en 2027) porte sur les représentations de la perception auditive dans la peinture religieuse italienne de la Renaissance et contribue à inscrire l’expérience sensible parmi les objets d’étude de l’analyse iconologique. Ses recherches postdoctorales se sont depuis concentrées sur les actions sensibles qui caractérisent la réception historique des objets, images et espaces de culte, avec un focus sur la péninsule italienne catholique aux XVIe et XVIIe siècles.
