Botaniste et spécialiste en morphologie et architecture des plantes, je m’intéresse essentiellement à la diversité, la variabilité et la plasticité du développement et du fonctionnement des arbres au travers (i) des modalités d’expression des processus de croissance, de floraison, de ramification et de réitération dans l’espace et dans le temps et (ii) des variations de l’allocation et de la partition de la biomasse au sein de l’arbre en fonction des impératifs et contraintes auxquels les arbres font face au cours de leur ontogénie. Pour cela je me base sur des descriptions morpho-anatomiques et architecturale des plantes, de l’écophysiologie, des analyses statistiques adaptées à l’étude des séries temporelles et de la modélisation (modèles stochastiques ; modèles structure-fonction). J’ai également une activité en taxonomie intégrative sur le genre Néotropical *Cecropia*.
