Présentation
Piero Gilento, PhD (2013) at the University of Siena, is archaeologist at the French National Institute for Preventive Archaeology (Inrap). He is the co-director of the French-Jordanian archaeological mission at Umm as-Surab (northern Jordan) and he worked in Saudi Arabia (AlUla Old Town) as Building Archaeologist research coordinator in the framework of the MuDUD project (Archaïos). Piero's main research interests are the study of construction techniques and technologies and the analysis and dating of building materials. With Brill he edited the book (2022): « Building between Eastern and Western Mediterranean Lands ».
