Présentation

As a scientific researcher (Principal Investigator) in avian virology, immunology, and vaccinology, I contribute to the development of new tools for characterizing the immune response (humoral and cellular), the development and/or evaluation of vaccines, and studies on IBDV (Infectious bursal disease virus), avian coronaviruses, and avian metapneumoviruses.

This work is part of the WHOA (World Organization for Animal Health) reference laboratory on Infectious Bursal Disease (Gumboro Disease) and Turkey rhinotracheitis.

From 2002 to 2024, I was a project manager and team leader in swine immunology and virology, still at ANSES in Ploufragan. I specifically studied the efficacy and biosafety of DNA vaccination in pigs, using Aujeszky's disease (herpesvirus) as a reference model. I also participated in a study on foot-and-mouth disease vaccination in pigs and Campylobacter vaccination in chickens. The vaccine candidates were selected using the reverse vaccination strategy. Finally, I initiated antibody repertoire analysis studies in pigs as well as antigen-antibody modeling studies. I also participated in an assessment for the European marketing of a DNA vaccine for veterinary use by the European Medicines Agency.
