Activité de recherche : Mon activité de recherche porte sur la caractérisation et la modélisation analytique ou numérique du comportement mécanique des matériaux, essentiellement polymères et composites à matrice polymère, en conditions de service en lien avec leur microstructure, leur formulation et leur mise en œuvre. Pour cela, je suis amené avec mes collaborateurs académiques, industriels et étudiants à développer des essais et des procédures pertinentes permettant la bonne compréhension des mécanismes physiques se produisant lors de la sollicitation d’un matériau en conditions de service (sollicitations mécaniques, thermiques, hydriques, couplées ou non). Ces essais doivent en outre permettre d’alimenter qualitativement, mais surtout quantitativement des modèles numériques permettant de prédire le comportement de matériaux ou de structure à plus ou moins long terme.
