- Laboratoire des signaux et systèmes (L2S)
Présentation
Thiago Alves Lima is an associate professor at Université Paris-Saclay, CNRS, CentraleSupélec, Laboratoire des Signaux et Systèmes, where he has been since September 2023. His research interests include hybrid and nonlinear dynamics, formal methods for the control and analysis of switched systems, dissipativity theory, and numerical methods for solving control problems, such as Linear Matrix Inequalities.
He earned his Ph.D. in Control Engineering from the Federal University of Ceará in Brazil in 2021. During his doctoral studies, from September 2019 to November 2020, he was a visiting Ph.D. student at the Laboratory for Analysis and Architecture of Systems (LAAS) in Toulouse, France, where he was part of the Methods and Algorithms for Control (MAC) team.
Following his Ph.D., he held two notable postdoctoral positions. From November 2021 to September 2022, he was a postdoctoral researcher at the Université Catholique de Louvain in Louvain-la-Neuve, Belgium, where he actively contributed to the European Research Council (ERC) project "Learning to Control (L2C)." He then served as a postdoctoral researcher at CRAN, CNRS, affiliated with Université de Lorraine in Nancy, France, from October 2022 to August 2023.
